How rankings work
Every place is ranked by one question: would you tell a friend to go? One person, one vote per place — you can change or remove yours any time.
A place’s score is the share of its current votes saying Worth a detour or better. Small samples are held back: a place isn’t ranked until it has 25 votes, and places with more votes rank more confidently — the order uses the low end of each place’s likely range, so a handful of votes can’t jump the queue.
Every vote records where it was cast — the list, the place page, or right after a logged visit. Votes all count the same today; if that ever changes, the rule will be published here first.
